How to use this estimate

The dimensions are geometric cut-size estimates assuming the overlay values are how far each door extends beyond the cabinet opening. A pair shares the opening width and leaves the entered center reveal. Hinge cup, edge clearances, frame construction, adjacent doors, and manufacturer hardware specifications are not checked; verify the chosen reveal against the actual cabinet and hinges.

Method

Single-door width = opening width + left overlay + right overlay. Paired-door width = (opening width + left overlay + right overlay - center reveal) / 2. Door height = opening height + top overlay + bottom overlay.

Worked example

A 30 × 30 in opening with ½ in outside overlays and a ⅛ in paired-door reveal yields two estimated 15.4375 × 31 in doors.

Assumptions and supported inputs

Use measured dimensions and the listed field ranges. Values outside those bounds, missing entries, non-finite numbers, and fractional counts where a whole number is required are rejected. Displayed results are rounded to two decimal places; internal calculations retain full precision. This is a planning estimate, not a substitute for an on-site layout, product instructions, or a qualified trade decision where applicable.
