Conference Session Seating Capacity Calculator
Estimate seat count from room width and row layout.
Method and input definitions
Seats per row = floor((room width − reserved aisle width) ÷ seat width). Planned capacity = seats per row × rows. The aisle allowance is a user-entered design constraint, not a code-compliance test.
Worked example
A 24 ft room with 4 ft reserved for aisles, 2 ft per seat, and 10 rows fits floor((24 − 4) ÷ 2) × 10 = 100 seats.
Assumptions and limits
All dimensions use the same unit. The calculation does not set aisle, egress, accessibility, or fire-code requirements; confirm the actual room plan with the venue.
Inputs are bounded to finite values shown in the form. Displayed results are rounded for readability (probability percentages and proportion fractions to four, other measures to two decimal places); whole-count outputs remain exact. A changed field clears a prior result so an outdated estimate is not presented as current.
