Spaced Repetition Review Workload Planner

Forecast reviews using intervals you choose.

Enter 1–20 positive whole-day intervals, in order. The forecast assumes you complete every review.

Method and input definitions

The forecast horizon is day 1 through day N, inclusive. A new cohort enters on each day, and an interval of k days schedules that cohort’s review on day d + k; multiple entered intervals are cumulative. Only reviews due on or before day N are counted, so a review due after the final day is outside this forecast. The calculator reports total reviews and peak daily load. Intervals are user-defined schedule assumptions, not recommended or evidence-backed defaults.

Worked example

With 20 new cards each day on days 1–14 and intervals of 1, 3, and 7 days, cumulative due offsets are 1, 4, and 11. By day 14, those reviews include 13, 10, and 3 cohorts respectively: 20 × (13 + 10 + 3) = 520 reviews. The peak is 60 reviews on days 12–14, when all three review cohorts overlap.

Assumptions and limits

Every cohort starts on its stated forecast day; every scheduled review is completed once, and reviews falling after day N are not counted. There are no pre-horizon cards, card failures, missed reviews, learning-effect claims, or adaptive scheduling.

Inputs are bounded to finite values shown in the form. Displayed results are rounded for readability (probability percentages and proportion fractions to four, other measures to two decimal places); whole-count outputs remain exact. A changed field clears a prior result so an outdated estimate is not presented as current.
