Consignment Payout Split Calculator
See how a sold item's commission and fixed fee affect both sides of a consignment split. Enter the actual agreement values rather than a typical rate.
Method and assumptions
Commission = sale price × commission percentage. Consignor payout = max(0, sale price − commission − fixed fee). Shop-retained amount is the sale proceeds less that payout; estimated shop remainder subtracts the shop's entered handling cost. No inventory acquisition cost or agreement rule is presumed.
Worked example
On an $80 sale with a 25% commission, $2 fixed fee, and $5 shop handling cost, commission is $20, consignor payout is $58, the shop retains $22 before handling, and $17 after handling.
How to use the result
Use the split as a reconciliation aid against the signed agreement and actual sale record. If fees exceed proceeds the payout is floored at zero; treatment of any shortfall depends on the parties' agreement and is outside this arithmetic.
Input meanings and limits
- Sale price collected: Amount collected for this item before the split.
- Shop commission rate: Percentage retained from sale price.
- Additional fixed shop fee: Per-item fee, if the agreement includes one.
- Shop handling cost: Shop's own cost used to estimate retained amount after handling.
Inputs accept finite, nonnegative values in the displayed ranges; percentages are bounded to 0–100% (with 99.99% maximum where division by the remaining share is used), and whole-unit or month fields require integers. Currency figures are shown in USD for convenience; enter values in one consistent currency. This is a planning worksheet, not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
